The Great Goal Pole
Overview The Great Goal Pole is the fourth level in World Star (Super Mario 3D World). It is unlocked by completing Rolling Ride Run and it's own completion unlocks Super Block Land.
Layout Upon first look, the level appears to be very short. There is a tree, an Elevator, and a couple of ? Blocks. Although, after jumping for the Goal Pole, it grows wings and starts flying away. The player is forced to run after it. The Goal Pole will stop flying if you are too far behind, but as soon as you catch up with it, it will continue flying away. To help slower characters, like Princess Peach and Rosalina, catch up with the Goal Pole, Boost Pads are placed in different locations around the level. Towards the end of the level, Donut Lifts must be used as platforms. As soon as you jump onto the Goal Pole, the level will end, and a cloud platform will appear on the ground before the player jumps off the Goal Pole after sliding down it. Toad is an ideal character for this level, as he can catch up with the Goal Pole the quickest.
