The Whomp King is the king of all Whomps and hates Mario and will try to fall on him. Just before he falls, move out of the way and Ground Pound his back. After being Ground Pounded three times, the Whomp King will be defeated and the player will win a Power Star. Whomp King is located at the top of Whomp's Fortress in Super Mario 64. He returned in Super Mario 64's remake Super Mario 64 DS.

Trivia

• The Whomp King hates people because they always "walk all over him and his brethren".

• Interestingly, the Whomp King only wears a crown in Super Mario 64 DS. He looks like a regular giant Whomp in Super Mario 64.

• Whomp King, with Big Mr. I and Chill Bully are the only Super Mario 64 DS boss to not show up in Mario Kart DS.
