Life's Ruff

Template:TAoSMB3box Life's Ruff is the twentieth episode of The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3.

Plot Synopsis

Princess Peach has come increasingly concerned over King Windbag's bullying attitude and had sent Luigi to sort things out with him. So Luigi goes to Ice Land and goes to his castle. When Luigi gets there, he sees King Windbag bullying and ordering one of his servants. Luigi tells King Windbag why he's here and King Windbag disagrees about him being a bully. He then continues bullying his servant and starts trying to shoot him with his magic scepter. The servant walks away and King Windbag says that a dog would be a better servant. Shortly after, Hip and Hop Koopa attacks Luigi and King Windbag once they see what it can do and then takes King Windbag's magic scepter.

Luigi and King Windbag try to get it back but then Hip and Hop turn Luigi and King Windbag into dogs. Luigi and King Windbag chase Hip and Hop to Miami, Florida. Luigi sees Hip and Hop going to a hotel. They chase them until the gates close. Luigi says that when the next car comes, they run in. They do so and go in the hotel another way since they don't let mutts in there. Luigi and King Windbag look through a window and Luigi wonders where Hip and Hop are. They seen them after they throw food at an old lady. They continue chasing them through the dinner party that was there and soon, King Windbag is captured by Herman the dog catcher. Herman soon catches Luigi while Hip and Hop escape in a car. Hip and Hop decide to go to the Kennedy Space Center.

Herman also succeeds in sending them to the dog pound. While in the dog-pound, King Windbag is forced by Luigi to cooperate with several dogs to escape the pound. After Luigi gets King Windbag to co-operate, they manage to escape and find out that Hip and Hop are already at the Kennedy Space Center planning to go into space. Both of them rush down to the space center and try to catch up with them. Luigi and King Windbag try to get the magic scepter and after some trouble from Herman, they manage to capture them. King Windbag manages to reclaim his magic scepter and, after returning himself, Luigi, Hip and Hop back to the Mushroom Planet, "turns over a new leaf" and decides to become a kind king and stop bullying his servants. Then he demonstrates his polite manners and serves the servant he bullied lunch.

• This is the only episode of any Mario cartoon that Mario doesn't appear in.

• This is the only episode of Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3 in which a Lakitu appears in (he was also in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show episode "Mario and the Red Baron Koopa".
