Template:Infobox Nintendo Land is an upcoming launch title for the Wii U, which will be released in Holiday 2012. The game's setting is based on a virtual theme park, containing twelve minigames built around various Nintendo franchises, including four based on Mario and its subseries. The minigames will be played using the Wii U GamePad alongside up to four Wii Remotes (with Nunchuks), and are intended to showcase the many features of the new system.[1]
Nintendo themselves have made Nintendo Land in the same image of Wii Sports, saying that this game shows what Wii U has to offer as Sports did with the Wii. Suspicions have raised on whether Nintendo Land will come bundled with the system. Project leader Katsuya Eguchi left his audience to continue speculating, commenting that he himself is not sure.[2]
