Red Ring

A Red Ring in World 1-5 in New Super Mario Bros..

Red Rings, are objects present in New Super Mario Bros., New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Super Mario 3D Land. When jumped through, it will make eight Red Coins appear. If all Red Coins are collected, then the player receives an item depending on which form Mario is in. When Mario is in his standard or Mini form, a Super Mushroom will appear. If he is in his super form, a Fire Flower will appear. In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, a Propeller Mushroom, Ice Flower or Penguin Suit may appear instead, depending on the level. When Mario is in his Fire, Shell, Ice, Propeller, or Penguin form, he will gain a 1-Up Mushroom.

Red Rings appear in Super Mario 3D Land, they now make only 5 Red Coins, instead of 8, but other then that they function the same way.
