Wario World is Wario's first foray into 3D. The game didn't sell very well, so it's questionable whether more 3D adventures featuring Wario.
Wario is sleeping in his castle when one of his treasure, a black diamond, awakens. It uses it's power to kick Wario out of his castle and turn the other treasures into enemies. Wario must beat the enemies to get his treasure and his castle back.
The game contains 15 levels connected by a central hub. Each level has multiple objectives, the first being to beat the boss.
