A Metal Mushroom Orb is an item used in Mario Party 6, and 7. This orb is a self-orb, meaning it can be used on the player. When a player uses it on him/herself, the player would turn into metal, and would not be affected by any trap orbs on the spaces the player passes by.
A similar-looking item, the Spring Mushroom, is available in the Super Mario Galaxy series.
