'''Mametchi''' is a character from [[wikipedia:Tamagotchi|Tamagotchi]], which is a chain of egg-shaped virtual pet toys produced by [[Bandai Namco Entertainment|Bandai]] that have since established a franchise spanning over 20 years, including adaptions to other media such as video games, merchandise, and {{wp|Tamagotchi! (anime)|anime}}. Being the mascot of the franchise, Mametchi debuted on the Tamagotchi P1 as the result of a Tamagotchi with the best possible care, and can be gotten in almost every subsequent release with similar care. He is a very intelligent Tamagotchi with an IQ of roughly 250 and also possesses exceptional manners. Mametchi is also the main protagonist of the franchise's anime adaptions, where he is a fan of the fictional superhero Gotchiman and designs inventions for a living, though his inventions explode on a frequent basis.  

*The Japan-only [[Nintendo 64]] game ''64 de Hakken!: Minna de Tamagotchi World'', which was released 10 years prior to ''Mario Kart Arcade GP 2'', featured "Rare Special" adult Tamagotchis based on [[Mario]] and [[Wario]], named Mariotchi and Waruotokotchi respectively. Interestingly, the game also has similar gameplay to the [[Mario Party (series)|Mario Party]] series, was released a year prior to the first [[Mario Party]] game, and was also developed by [[Hudson Soft]].
