- Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (pictured) is the first Donkey Kong game since Donkey Kong for the Game Boy to not feature Diddy Kong.
- Bowser's Sky Castle in Paper Mario: Sticker Star was planned to have mini-games to lengthen the level, but the idea was scrapped due to time constraints.
- In Yoshi's Story, when the page turns, the player can hear the Baby Yoshis singing "Nintendo" in the background.
