Check and X Barrels are special types of barrel that appear in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. The Check Barrel helps the Kongs while the X ones do the complete opposite. These appear in a few levels with a Skull Cart, and they are important in these levels. In Target Terror, they act as switches to open gates that are in the way.
