The Poltergust 4000 is Luigi's kart of choice in Mario Kart DS and is a modified and upgraded version of the Poltergust 3000 implied to be created by Professor E. Gadd in Luigi's Mansion. It has average speed, acceleration, and handling, and low weight, drift, and items. Poltergust 4000 is quite popular on tracks which are mainly on-road, but have quite a few turns.
It is slightly like the Super Poltergust 3001, which E. Gadd can also ride.
