Boulders are objects throughout the Mario series of games.
In Donkey Kong 64, Boulders appeared as obstacles. Only Chunky Kong could lift them, and they could be used to solve puzzles or defeat enemies. In this game, they were dark green in color.
In Super Mario Galaxy that can hurt Mario if they touch or roll over him. So far of what is known in the Super Mario Galaxy Demo, they only appear on the Boulder Planet. They may make more appearances in the full game.
