The game's setting is based on a virtual theme park, containing twelve minigames built around various Nintendo franchises, including four based on Mario and its subseries. The minigames will be played using the Wii U GamePad alongside (up to four) Wii Remotes (with Nunchuks), and are intended to showcase the many features of the new system.[1]
