Gloomy Gulch is one of the areas Diddy and Dixie Kong traveled through in their quest to save Donkey Kong in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. Gloomy Gulch as the name says is extremely gloomy and creepy area covered in fog and inhabited by a large number of ghosts such as Kloaks, the area is also surrounded by spooky woods. A haunted house filled with skeletal Kremling ghosts called Kackles is nestled in a clearing near the start of this area, there is also a small Zinger hive nearby that is oddly shaped like a hut. Since the area is so high up on Crocodile Isle it has severe gusts of wind that can blow around even monkeys. Compared to the areas that came before it (Krem Quay and Krazy Kremland) Gloomy Gulch is actually quite small. At the end of Donkey Kong Country 2 Gloomy Gulch, along with the rest of Crocodile Isle sinks into the sea.
