Template:Minigame-infobox One Hit Wonder is one of 9-Volt & 18-Volt's microgames in WarioWare: Smooth Moves and later appears in WarioWare Gold as the boss microgame of 5-Volt's stage. It is based on Nintendo's Ultra Machine, released in 1968, and its name is based on the phrase on "One-hit Wonder" (a term for musical artists known for only one hit single).
Gameplay
WarioWare: Smooth Moves
The object is to hit the baseball. The Wii Remote can be held like a baseball bat, and when the baseball comes, the player should swing the Wii Remote.
- 1st level difficulty: The ball travels straight.
- 2nd level difficulty: The ball travels in a curve.
- 3rd level difficulty: The ball travels quickly in a curve. There is a chance the Ultra Machine will throw a beanball, which takes longer to reach the batter.
WarioWare Gold
The object is to hit 3 baseballs out of the 5 in stock to pass the microgame. The player will lose if they miss 3 balls.
- 1st level difficulty: The balls travel straight.
- 2nd level difficulty: The balls travel in curves. The batter is a man who bats with an umbrella.
- 3rd level difficulty: The balls can travel either straight or curved. The batter is a woman who bats with a frying pan, resembling 5-Volt.
Mission
- Major Leaguer: The player has to clear Level 3 by hitting a home run with an average of 110 meters or more.
