Akuman is the first of the many bosses Toad faces in Game B of the Round Game mode in the Nintendo Entertainment System version of the game Wario's Woods. He is a purple, bat-winged, simian-like creature in red jester-like clothes who wields a trident. Akuman has the ability to eliminate all bombs on-screen. Akuma, the word Akuman is derived from, is the Japanese word for devil and one is depicted with one or more of these features: humanoid-like body, bat wings, and a trident. This makes Akuman a serviceable Japanese devil. Much like the other bosses in the game, his affiliations to Wario are unknown (other than to provide support in stopping Toad from saving the Peaceful Forest).
