Fun Rules
1. Only park whatever vehicle you have in the appropriate location.
2. Don't come asking for I ride. Not only am I managing a spaceship, but also this wiki. Sorry. :(
3. If you say Pink Gold Peach is a great character, I say you're a little off, but ok. If you say she is a good character, very slightly off, but glad you think that way. If you say she is the worst character, I would let you believe that. If you say she is a bad character, that's your belief. Pink Gold Peach is an ok character, but Nintendo should of added Silver Luigi to the games she appeared in before they added her.
4. Disregard the following rule.
5. Disregard all fun rules, especially the previous one.

Hi it's fabulous that you're contributing and all but I noticed in this article you put you, all pages in this wiki must be written in a third person style so use terms like the player or the playable character (in that case Bowser) you're not in trouble just keep this in mind in the future thank you and keep contributing. :) 17:11, 18 July 2016 (EDT)

:::It's better to delete the JPEG you submitted because the existing PNG I changed it to is better. PNG is a very good format for screenshots of games because it is a lossless format compared to the lossy JPEG. I strongly discourage video-taken screenshots, such as YouTube. The quality varies greatly and is rather poor in comparison to playing the game yourself in an emulator because the quality can be controlled fully. Most emulators have a screenshot button or function to generate the PNGs or BMPs. Just be sure to follow my WIP carefully so you can submit the best imagery. -- 15:43, 22 July 2016 (EDT)

Just stepping in, the reason AfternoonLight tagged your page for deletion is because it's not to do with the official Mario series, which is the only thing we cover, not fan things like user-stories. However, as you don't want them on your user page, and as we don't allow separate user pages for stories your best bet for fan stories will be the fan creation board on our forums, or Userpedia, which is specifically designed for user stories and the like. Yoshi876

I just started a proposal here. You can vote if you want. -- 10:54, 13 September 2018 (EDT)
:When I wrote Young E. Gadd, I wanted other people to continue the work. The proposal had passed, but nothing changed so I left some information about him. My mind was thinking of letting others finish what I started. I wasn't even thinking of making it my own. The reason why? Young Professor Elvin Gadd was an article and I didn't want to take it away from someone. Yoshi the Space Station Manager (talk) 09:09, 10 Agusust 2016 (EDT)

::The original proposer is currently banned. Therefore, it is up to the supporters of the proposal to follow through with the changes. Although the onus to make the change was not on you specifically, you should have applied the basic article formatting as Mario jc had outlined. And as far as I can see, you did not make any communications towards other users to finish the page. You cannot just expect somebody else to apply that formatting.
Rocky Wrench Reworking Relations proposal
:: 09:16, 10 August 2016 (EDT)
Since two options are both favored by more than half of the total amount of voters each, the proposal should be extended. Please do not change it back. 18:00, 15 September 2018 (EDT)
:::If I had known that the original proposer was banned, I would of added more than what I did. Me being new here, I didn't want to send a message to a lot of people. I know it possible to do it on the talk page of Professor Elvin Gadd, but I didn't do it. Sorry:(. I will try to find out about past proposers next time there was one. I will edit Young Professor Elvin Gadd. I had played the game and the information doesn't really match what I saw when I played. Yoshi the Space Station Manager (talk) 09:25, 10 August 2016 (EDT)
:Whoops. Should of actually read this before actually changing it because I saw you put something on my talk page. But, I am waiting on Alex95's word since he hasn't posted his final decision since I made a comment to him. And I mention to him another proposal that also had two options with more than majority vote. One that he was the proposer for it. 18:06, 15 September 2018 (EDT)
::Okay. (I was about to give you a reminder if not for the comment above.) Also, regarding the proposal you mentioned on Alex95's talk page, that's because each voter voted for only one option each, therefore the winning side had 9/16 as opposed to the losing side's 7/16. The Rocky Wrench proposal, on the other hand, has 9/15 for Option 2 and 8/15 for Option 3. Since both amounts are more than half, the proposal should be extended until only one side constitutes more than half of all voters. 18:16, 15 September 2018 (EDT)
:::Oh right. I thought I was onto something there. Oh well. Even still, if you just look at Option 2 and Option 3 as if they were the only options (it's not but just saying if the proposal was that way), it couldn't of had the 9 to 8 (which leads to 17 instead) due to four users voting for those two options. It is unknown which of the two options the two who didn't vote for either Option 2 or 3, so I won't include them. If the repeated voters aren't taken into account, it is 5 to 4 with Option 2 winning. However, I also mentioned that three (including myself) preferred Option 2 over 3, but only 1 Option 3 over 2. So, the taking the most likely case they would of done into this, this would end of 8 to 5, with Option 2 winning by three votes (the minimum). However, since it was agreed on by the admins to keep the extension, this is just me basically saying what I thought how the proposal should of ended. 18:38, 15 September 2018 (EDT)

Re: London 2012 Olympic Games Wii
Hi, thanks for offering to help! Yeah, once you've finished off those Super Mario Maker levels (Great work on those by the way), if you're interested, the evet articles are the things I'd like to get done first- they all need creating or a rewrite. Some of the article names may need double checking first too. I think it's best to base it off the 100m one (Canoe Sprint 1000m is done in the same way), as I think it covers everything except the London Party information, but that's a different problem. There's also a lot of images in the gallery that can be used at least as a start, and it may be worth checking the title-sharing articles too if more are needed. Thank you though, and there's no need to worry about how fast it gets done, as I probably wouldn't get through it any quicker. :) BBQ Turtle (talk) 16:18, 18 September 2018 (EDT)
:Good question, I'm not really sure. If you don't mind the wait, I can do a bit of investigation on Wednesday and double check the names from all of the games for those events, and we can see where to go from there. If the correct name for Badminton is Badminton - Doubles, it can go there with an aboutfile clearing it up and we'll change the current Badminton article to a disambiguation. Singles is going to be split into at least two anyway, but I think that the 2012 Wii article would be OK to go to Table Tennis - Singles anyway, but I think we need to leave fencing for now to get a full clear up of all names before we cause a bit of a mess, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Nice work on the articles you've done so far though! :) BBQ Turtle (talk) 17:47, 24 September 2018 (EDT)
::It doesn't need one, as long as that's the name of the event used in-game, the other two are referred to in-game as "Synchronized Swimming (Doubles)" and "Synchronized Swimming (Team)", so what seem like identifiers are part of the event's name. Just add an about at the top and everything'll be fine, it'd be adding unnecessary identifiers otherwise. BBQ Turtle (talk) 12:05, 25 September 2018 (EDT)
:::Hi, sorry for late response, I just had a huge ton of homework, but I've looked the stuff up. OK, so from what I can piece together, we may have to shuffle things around a bit, as I think we need to go for the second, longer name as opposed to one on the screen, which kind of acts like a class. It's a really confusing way of doing things, but it happens in Rio 2016 too, an example being Swimming and 100m Freestyle Swimming. So things like Equestrian would be a class page, like Canoeing, while the event information would go onto Equestrian - Show Jumping. 100m seems to be the random exception from this rule, as a 100m class is more than illogical, so we'll leave that one as it is. And regarding the stuff about the songs, I don't think you need to go into huge depth about what each song is composed of, though all of the songs need to have their names mentioned, and the separate moves need to be covered (i.e. What a red circle does, what a star does), but we don't need the order- we'd be there forever if we did that. But anything's fine to be moved around if needs be, a redirect or disambiguation page would probably need to have been created there anyway, so it's only a minor inconvenience. BBQ Turtle (talk) 15:55, 27 September 2018 (EDT)
::::Great work on the articles, and you don't need to worry about how long any of it takes, there's no rush. And yeah, if you're still interested, then working on London Party would be great! I think it's probably best to start by making the minigame articles. I personally don't know anything about the online thing with the character list (I'm really not the right person to ask about that, sorry) but I think the list at the bottom of the navigation template probably has most of the games listed, and I think the in-game mission list might help fill in a few gaps. We can always come back later if we need to figure out which characters to talk to for which events. BBQ Turtle (talk) 16:12, 19 October 2018 (EDT)
:::::My best guess for this would be to follow after the Mario Kart course articles and create a layout section alongside the gameplay. Gameplay can, like the other articles, just go over the controls, item usage, etc., whereas layout can go over the position and type of obstacles, special sections, etc.. I think that's the best bet for now, but I can't remember enough about Dream Long Jump and Dream Sprint to be exactly sure, but that would definitely work for Dream Equestrian. And it may get shuffled around a bit anyway once I get around to cleaning up how locations are covered, but doing it this way would be best for that scenario too. I removed the list of elements because eventually every feature from the original game would just be added to it, turning it into a carbon copy of the original Mario Maker page. ==A Suggestion==
Hey. Since you're splitting some of the implied stuff from that proposal, I have a minor suggestion to make. When you take stuff out of the big implied character list, maybe you should add something like "See article Scarlette for more information," instead of removing the entire section completely. I think there's a template to format that, but I literally can't remember what it was or if it actually exists. If you can think of what that template may be, I personally just suggest using it to leave a link to the Scarlet/whatever implied character article. If not, maybe someone else will do it, lol.
:Main is what you're referring to. Technically, they're only supposed to be split after a discussion, but splitting the most notable ones right off the bat (like Scarlette) shouldn't be too contentious. 14:56, 22 September 2016 (EDT)

Latest revision as of 10:57, December 20, 2023

I have some rules for this talk page.

1. Don't say anything personal. This includes saying that it is my birthday. There be a lot of those around if I didn't do this.
2. Don't use my real name. Either use you or Yoshi the Space Station Manager or Yoshi the SSM.
3. Don't make fun of me of any kind. Even if it meets the code of the wiki, don't do it. Don't break rules at all here. This includes swearing.
4. Don't say something bad about any character in video games. You can say something wrong with my changes about characters.
5. You can talk to me about the Mario Boards if there is no category for you to put it in.
6. Unless you have an actual excuse for your writing being bad (even then try to make it look nice), make your messages readable. But, don't make it too complicated or I may not understand the message.
7. All friend requests/co-worker requests go under your username. I may say no if I want to. Don't expect a response about it on this talk page. It will be on your talk page. The picture I send will be appropriate for the friend request. If co-workers, there is only one image. These don't apply to the 41st non-friend-request category as it will be on the bottom when archiving.

Other than that, all is good.

Fun Rules

When this page has 41, the first 40 will be archived. When this page has 21, archive that it will go into will viewable. Friend request don't count towards the archive, but will be archived with the respected archive.

I don't know. I have an Excel table that I am using to help make the articles and I have some of that work on my uneditable-by-others sandbox (which I call Wiki Work Space). But, if you are able to edit all the levels of World 18 (not including the last level) and World 19, then you could. Just remember that I want to do some too. Also. The only thing left afterwards is to go back through the pages I already created and see if you can improve them (and they do especially after a proposal requiring the number of enemies be on the level articles). Rocky Wrench Reworking Relations proposal[edit]

Since two options are both favored by more than half of the total amount of voters each, the proposal should be extended. Please do not change it back. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 18:00, 15 September 2018 (EDT)

Whoops. Should of actually read this before actually changing it because I saw you put something on my talk page. But, I am waiting on Alex95's word since he hasn't posted his final decision since I made a comment to him. And I mention to him another proposal that also had two options with more than majority vote. One that he was the proposer for it. Red Yoshi in a construction hat walking Yoshi the SSM (talk) 18:06, 15 September 2018 (EDT)
Okay. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 18:16, 15 September 2018 (EDT)
Oh right. Re: London 2012 Olympic Games Wii[edit]

Good question, I'm not really sure.
It doesn't need one, as long as that's the name of the event used in-game, the other two are referred to in-game as "Synchronized Swimming (Doubles)" and "Synchronized Swimming (Team)", so what seem like identifiers are part of the event's name. Just add an about at the top and everything'll be fine, it'd be adding unnecessary identifiers otherwise. BBQ Turtle (talk) 12:05, 25 September 2018 (EDT)
Hi, sorry for late response, I just had a huge ton of homework, but I've looked the stuff up.
Great work on the articles, and you don't need to worry about how long any of it takes, there's no rush.
My best guess for this would be to follow after the Mario Kart course articles and create a layout section alongside the gameplay.
