Yellow Yoshis are a species of Yoshi. In Super Mario World it had the ability to make mini-earthquakes and fall faster when eating any shell plus the shell power. In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island they're playable on every world's mid-fortress.
One appears as an alternate color of Yoshi in Mario Hoops 3-on-3, unlocked by achieving a silver trophy in the Flower Tourney, Hard Mode. The player must hold the D-pad ←, Y while putting normal Yoshi in the hoop during character selection.
