Bulbers are angler fish-like enemies that appear in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. They only appear in World 8-4 with the same function as the Jellybeams. They illuminate the way for the player. Bulbers swim freely in the water, illuminating the whole way and are always found in flocks of four or five. Although not necessary, Bulbers can be defeated by attacking them with a fireball, by freezing it or by running into it with a Starman. Bulbers only will hurt Mario if he touches them.
