Blarggs are dragons that reside in lava-filled caverns in the game Super Mario World. These enemies hide in lava, and when Mario approaches one, the Blargg lunges at the plumber. Unlike Mario, Yoshi can jump on top of Blarggs to avoid getting hurt.

Blarggs also appear in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. In this game, Blarggs are no longer lava dragons, they are living lava monsters. Despite this change of appearance, they attack the same way as their Super Mario World counterparts (However, in this game, Yoshi cannot jump on top of them.). Some Blarggs have grown to epic proportions, becoming the awe-inspiring Gargantua Blarggs.

The Gargantua Blargg is to lava as the Nep-Enut is to water.

Blarggs appear again in Yoshi's Island DS, however, their look has changed to one very similar to Nep-Enuts, only red in color.
