Supposedly, there's something related to that somewhere in this castle. Did we find it?

Hooktail is a dragon featured in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. She resides in Hooktail Castle, and serves as the boss of Chapter 1.
History
Background
Much of Hooktail's background is unknown, though according to stories told by Grifty, she, along with her two siblings were once pets of the Shadow Queen who traveled around the world terrorizing people before the Shadow Queen was imprisoned behind The Thousand-Year Door. Grifty's stories also mention that Hooktail Castle was created to contain one of the Crystal Stars, implying Hooktail may have been placed there in order to guard it.
Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
As explained by the residents there, Hooktail terrorized Petalburg for a long time, devouring many of its residents. Those who tried to stop her were ultimately devoured as well, including Kolorado's father and Koopley. However, her victims discovered that her weakness was cricket chirps, noting that she became nauseated and weakened upon hearing them.

Hooktail is a dragon in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door that had terrorized Petalburg's residents. As well as eating Petalburg's citizens, she had eaten anyone who came to her castle to slay her, including Kolorado's father, Old Man Skoo, and Koopley. When Mario, Goombella and Koops came to her castle to obtain the first Crystal Star, the Diamond Star, they were given a clue on how to defeat Hooktail once they found a letter being clutched by the corpse of Kolorado's father, explaining that Hooktail cannot stand chirping sounds, especially ones made by crickets, as she once got food poisoning from eating one. In the Japanese version of the game and the comic Super Mario-Kun, Hooktail is extremely scared of frogs instead.
When Mario visited the Thousand-Year Door and held the Magical Map aloft, the map revealed that the Diamond Star was located in Hooktail Castle. After progressing through it, it is revealed that Hooktail is the guardian of the Crystal Star, and Mario battles her to retrieve it. Wearing the Attack FX R badge in the battle against her will progressively weaken her attacks, making the battle much easier.

Upon defeat, she tries to bargain with the player. She at first offers 1,000 coins, then a "lovely, rare, extra-special badge", and finally a chance to sniff her feet. All three are false offers, and she will attack the player if they accept any of them. After this, she eats some of the audience members, healing her by 10 HP and causing the rest of the audience to run away. Mario then defeats her, and she coughs up the missing Koopley after fainting. He then rewards Mario with the Diamond Star, which was trapped inside her gut.
During the fight it seems Hooktail is defeated, but she then offers 1,000 Coins and a "Really Ultra Rare Badge" for her trust. She also asks Mario if he would like to smell her feet, claiming that people pay good money to do this. It is the player's choice if Mario accepts or declines her offers. All three are traps and Hooktail will either bite or stomp Mario for some damage if he accepts them. Before Mario and his team can finish her off, she swallows some of the audience members to replenish 10 of her HP. If the player reduces Hooktail's HP to 0 the first time, she will still eat the audience. If the audience is reduced below 10 since the player got a Bingo! from a Poison Mushroom, Hooktail can regain less than 10 HP. Once Mario defeats her once and for all, Koops's dad will burst out of her mouth, claiming he survived in Hooktail's stomach by hiding in his shell. In the second part of the fight, if the player attacks Hooktail's head, the Toads she ate will be saved and will run away.

Hooktail also has two older brothers named Bonetail and Gloomtail, all three being the Shadow Queen's pets. It was not revealed that Hooktail was female until the fight with Gloomtail. Koopley, Koops, Koopie Koo, and Goombella all referred to Hooktail as "it", while others erroneously refer to her as a "he". Gloomtail attempted to avenge his sister by killing Mario and his friends, but Mario proved too strong and Gloomtail failed. Hooktail resides in Hooktail Castle, whose builder is unknown. Her castle was built to accommodate her massive size. Later on in the game, when Mario and company revisit Hooktail's lair, they find no trace of Hooktail. Goombella wonders briefly where Hooktail disappeared to, but ends up deciding Hooktail's absence is a good thing.
Hooktail is later referenced near the end of the game when encountering her brother Gloomtail, with one of the party members briefly mistaking him for her and questioning how she survived the encounter. This promptly outrages him and causes him to decide to fight Mario to avenge his sister.

Oddly, Hooktail was shown to actually have a hook at the end of her tail in the game but in official artwork she does not. Hooktail resembles Valoo from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Her name may even come from the boss battle with Gohma, in which Link must use the Grappling Hook on Valoo's hooklike tail.

*There will always be eight Toads seated in the lower right seats in the audience. Hooktail will eat these Toads to replenish herself for the second round, but two of them will escape from being eaten.
*In some translations, like the Spanish one, Hooktail is actually male.
**Jumping on Hooktail or using Goombella's Headbonk during that round will make her spit out the Toads she has eaten, two per hit. Up to six Toads can be released from Hooktail's mouth.

*In the Spanish localization, Hooktail is depicted as a male.
*In the Japanese version and all other versions except English, Hooktail's weakness is frogs and not crickets like in the English version. However, in the American Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door demo included in the Demo Disc Version 18 for the GameCube, Hooktail is weak to frogs like in the Japanese version.
