When a [[Yoshi (species)|Yoshi]] approaches attempt to block [[Yoshi (species)|Yoshi]]'s path by rising from the lava as he approaches. To pass by a Gargantua Blargg, Yoshi must throw an [[Yoshi's Egg|egg]] into its mouth. The Gargantua Blargg will then sink into the lava, allowing Yoshi to continue past it. However, it re-emerges after a few seconds. Unlike the smaller [[Blargg (small)|Red Blargg]], Gargantua Blarggs cannot be defeated with an [[Anywhere POW]]. In ''[[Yoshi's Island DS]]'', Gargantua Blarggs only appear in [[Gilbert the Gooey's Castle]], but the game introduces a much taller [[Gargantua Blargg (tall)|variant of the same name]] that can destroy dense rocks.
