However, this may be coincidence as the Japanese names differ, with the ''Final Fantasy IV'' move originally being「ビッグバーン」(''Biggu Bān''). Both ''Final Fantasy IV'' and the English localization of ''Super Mario RPG'' may be referencing the scientific theory about the initial conditions of the universe, also known as the {{wp|Big Bang}}.
