'''Letter Blocks''', originally known as '''letters''',<ref>''Mario vs. Donkey Kong'' North American instruction booklet, page 27.</ref> are collectibles that appear in ''[[Mario vs. Donkey Kong]]'' and [[Mario vs. Donkey Kong (Nintendo Switch)|its remake]]. They function similarly to the [[KONG Letters|K-O-N-G Letters]] from the [[Donkey Kong Country (series)|''Donkey Kong Country'']] series, but there is a total of three of them that spell out "TOY," and they appear only in the [[Mini Mario (toy)|Mini-Mario]] levels that are before the boss fight of each world, replacing the [[present (Mario vs. Donkey Kong)|present]]s from the other [[level]]s. However, they do not appear in any of the plus levels in the game, despite Mini-Marios appearing there. Only Mini-Marios are able to collect Letter Blocks, as [[Mario]] himself simply passes through them. Each Letter Block is worth 500 [[point]]s, and when all three are collected in the level, the player is able to unlock the [[Toy box (object)|toy box]] to complete the level.
