Big Mr. I is a big eyeball that shoots laser beams from its pupil in Super Mario 64. In Big Boo's Haunt, the little version of Mr. I is accessed by going to the room to the left of Mario in the beginning of the level. However, to reach Big Mr. I, Mario has to go up to the attic, which leads to the balcony. Then Mario must go to the balcony or second floor, grab the invisible cap and run into the painting in the attic. He will then be in a room with Big Mr. I, and he must get Mr. I's  attention. Mario must run around Mr. I a few times, and the eyeball will spin around and turn into a Power Star. Big Mr. I also appears in Super Mario 64's remake, Super Mario 64 DS.

In Mario Party 2, Big Mr. I appeared in Horror Land, although his name is changed to Mr. I Laser. If a player pays him ten coins, he'll roll himself to the player and force them to run away by running across the gameboard in a certain direction until stopping at a Mr. I Space; if a player is on Mr. I Laser's route, the player is also forced to run away from the rolling Mr. I Laser.

In Mario Party 3, Big Mr. I is featured in the Battle Mini-Game "Eye Sore". The objective of the game is to run around Big Mr. I fifteen times until he finally disappears. As the characters run around Big Mr. I, he will gradually shrink. Players should avoid bumping into Big Mr. I or one of the many Podoboos that pop up, for they will stun the player for a few valuable seconds.

He also reappeared in Mario Party 8 in a Duel Minigame. The point of the minigame is to spin the cursor around a Mr. I 3 times as it gets bigger to win. It is unknown if it's really Big Mr. I because when you spin the cursor around the regular Mr. I, it gets bigger and looks like a Big Mr. I.
