As a sticker, the tape takes up only one square in Mario's album. If and when it is used in battle, the battlefield darkens as a roll of tape appears onscreen, rolling all over the screen in straight lines. Once it is done, any enemies onscreen become taped down, freezing them for one or two turns. The player may press {{button|3ds|a}} as the tape starts rolling out to improve the effects.

Template:Quote2 The Tape is a thing in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It is found behind the Secret Door in Tree Branch Trail. The Secret Door outline is found at the very beginning of the level. Once it is applied, Mario is able to simply enter the room and pick it up along with the ring of Five Coins surrounding it. It remains in Mario's album until it is turned into a sticker at a Sling-a-Thing station. Once it has been used as a sticker, it returns to its original position. It can also be purchased from the Shady Toad for 100 Coins.

As a sticker, the tape takes up only one square in Mario's album. If and when it is used in battle, the battlefield darkens as a roll of tape appears onscreen, rolling all over the screen in straight lines. Once it is done, any enemies onscreen become taped down, freezing them for one or two turns. The player may press A Button as the tape starts rolling out to improve the effects.
