An '''Octo''' is a small orange octopus, similar to the squid-like [[Blooper]]. They have only appeared in the game ''[[Yoshi's Safari]]''. During the events of the game, Octos aided [[Bowser]] and his [[Koopalings]] during the subjugation of [[Jewelry Land]].

A '''Tako''' is a small orange octopus that appears in ''[[Yoshi's Safari]]''.


[[Mario]] and [[Yoshi (character)|Yoshi]] encountered Octos in the fourth level of the Light World, [[Crescent Coast]]. While traveling underwater, the two heroes had to fight off an assault from these weak creatures. The [[Octopot]], a giant jar-like creature, launched wave after wave of Octos at Mario and Yoshi. Fortunately, the small cephalopods could be easily destroyed with a couple blasts from Mario's [[Super Scope]]. After shattering the Octopot, the Octos disappeared with their creator, never to be seen again.

An Squid-like thing named [[|Octo(Dr. Mario 64)|Octo]] appeared in Dr. Mario 64 as a character disturbed by [[Dr. Mario]]/[[Wario]]. He often suffers from headaches and is cured by [[Megavitamin]]s. He has the body of a squid, but has the face of a cat.
