Punch-Out!! is a series of boxing games created by Nintendo. The games star a boxer (Little Mac in most cases) who must defeat quirky, unique opponents from around the world in order to earn his championship title. The series has always been loosely connected to the Super Mario franchise; Mario himself appeared as the referee in the original NES title, while Donkey Kong is the final boss of the Wii sequel. The Super Smash Bros. series features elements from both franchises.
