Richard Yearwood is a British-Canadian actor, television host, director and producer who got incorporated with the Mario franchise by voicing Donkey Kong in the Donkey Kong Country television series. He was born in Toronto and his family moved to Los Angeles when he was at a young age. He provided the speaking voice of DK for the entire series as well as his singing voice in "Cranky's Tickle Tonic" (the first recorded episode).
