Overview
The level opens with a cinematic showing Mario grabbing a Hammer and using it to defeat two Shy Guys.
The player starts under some ladders; above the first is a "Help" block explaining how to enter Free Scroll Mode. At the top of the ladders are two Shy Guys and a Hammer, along with the red and blue Color Switches. By having the red switch activated, the player can climb down to reach another Hammer to destroy a floating Oil can and grab the Key. By jumping on the blue Color Switch where the Oil can was, the player can jump down to the locked door below.
