Template:SMOlocation-infobox The Dark Side of the Moon is a secret kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey, and is the greater location of Rabbit Ridge. It is served as the sixteenth kingdom overall in the game. It is reachable once the main game is completed and 250 Power Moons have been obtained. Rabbit Ridge is the home of the Broodals, and is ruled over by Madame Broode. Due to her love of vegetables, many statues of vegetables can be found scattered around the kingdom, primarily turnips. The largest one, however, is a carrot statue known as Rabbit Ridge Tower. In Rabbit Ridge Tower, the Broodals challenge Mario to a rematch. Outside the tower, many generic rabbits wearing top hats can be found; they can be neither spoken with nor captured.

Brochure details

Sadly inedible tower & similarly inedible owner.

A Tasty-Looking Tower

This ostentatious stone tower was carved at the direction of the vegetable-loving Madame Broode, who lords over Rabbit Ridge.

Her underlings, the Broodals, live within and always have a warm "welcome" for visitors.

Poise under pressure.

Topper, Client Relations

Responsible for client relations on behalf of the Broodals' wedding-planning firm, Topper is usually found on-site, troubleshooting.

You can tell how serious he is about a battle by the number of hats he has stacked on his head: he doesn't tap into his full hat reserves except for the most dangerous opponents. So if you square off with him and he seems to be mostly hat, you should feel honored...and afraid.

Best hat-handler on the team.

Rango, the Bouncer

He's not the most focused, but Rango is a valuable player on the Broodals team, always coming through in the end. A master of his boomeranging trampoline hat, he can throw it both straight and curved with almost unnatural control over the way it flies. On the other hand, he sometimes zones out a bit and looks confused. That's your chance to counterattack!

It's best not to get her mad.

Hariet, Pyrotechnics

The least predictable of the Broodals, Hariet is most often found throwing bombs with her hair. When her homemade bombs explode, they leave a pool of fire on the ground, so try knocking them away before they explode. While it may seem reckless to have filled her hat with bombs, Hariet is devious and keeps a lot of spare explosives with her, so watch out!

Is the vulgarity all an act?

Spewart, the Entertainer

Spinning around while spitting poison in a wide area, Spewart is the least subtle of the Broodals. But he also has an unexpectedly artistic side, as his poisonous ground-paintings show.

One Last Door

For those travelers who survive the "hospitality" of the Broodals, a new challenge may await...

Three Keys to the Kingdom

  1. Watch out for the moon's light gravity; you can still die falling off a cliff.
  2. Investigate behind all those stone-carved vegetables.
  3. Greet all FOUR of the keys to this kingdom. You know who they are.

  • 15: Found with Dark Side Art 1: The hint art is found on some rock vegetables near a spark pylon. It depicts Poochy digging a hole on a cliff in front of some waterfalls. To obtain the Power Moon, Mario must travel back to the Cascade Kingdom and ground pound the area where the waterfalls are in the distance (on the right side of where Madame Broode was fought).
  • 16: Found with Dark Side Art 2: The hint art is found on some rock vegetables next to a spark pylon. It depicts a big white "H" with a yellow pillar next to it with a Power Moon above it. To obtain the Power Moon, Mario must travel back to the Metro Kingdom, then jump to the Heliport checkpoint flag where there is a helipad and a yellow pillar on the floor next to it. He must ground pound above that pillar to obtain the Power Moon.
  • 17: Found with Dark Side Art 3: The hint art is found on a rock vegetable near the end of the first and lowest platform. It depicts a gridded square with several green squares and a Power Moon to the left and regional coins on the top left and right of the square. To obtain the Power Moon, Mario must travel back to the Mushroom Kingdom and go to the maze, which the hint art represents, and ground pound in the left path of the maze (which can be seen because of the regional coin locations) to obtain the Power Moon.
  • 18: Found with Dark Side Art 4: The hint art is found on the side of a rock wall leading up to the next highest platform from the lower main platform. It depicts a large white circle with eight circles around it, with a Power Moon in the leftmost circle. To obtain the Power Moon, Mario must travel back to the Cloud Kingdom and ground pound the raised circular platform that is to the left (the player can use the shaded parts of each circle to find it) to obtain the Power Moon.
  • 19: Found with Dark Side Art 5: The hint art is found down on the hidden lower alcove on the East side of the first main platform. It depicts a wooden wreath of the Shiverian people seemingly placed on an archway with an exclamation mark above it. To obtain the Power Moon, Mario must travel back to the Snow Kingdom, go to the Snowline Circuit area where the archway is in plain sight, climb on top of it and ground pound above the wreath to obtain the Power Moon.
  • 20: Found with Dark Side Art 6: The hint art is on the side of the small pedestal where the Binoculars are, located on the small middle platform of the island. It depicts a Talkatoo, then an arrow pointing north at Binoculars, then a second arrow pointing east at umbrellas, then a third arrow pointing south at two pillars. To obtain the Power Moon, Mario must travel back to the Seaside Kingdom and find the Talkatoo. Next, they must look for the Binoculars closest to Talkatoo and look through them. From there, the player can look east and see three umbrellas at the Hot Springs, then look south of those to see two pillars near the rock pools. The player must ground pound in the middle of those pillars to obtain the Power Moon.
  • 21: Found with Dark Side Art 7: The hint art is found on the side of some rock vegetables near the upper platforms of the main island. It depicts a red and black floor in a shadow with the quadrants C4 around it. To obtain the Power Moon, Mario must travel back to the Lost Kingdom, then go to quadrant C4 on the map near the edge of the cliff and ground pound where the red floor turns black to obtain the Power Moon.
  • 22: Found with Dark Side Art 8: The hint art can be found on a low wall leading up to the highest platform on the middle island. It depicts two images of Peronza Plaza, however one thing is different in both pictures - a blue Volbonan is missing in the top right of the first image. To obtain the Power Moon, Mario must travel back to the Luncheon Kingdom and ground pound where the missing blue Volbonan was standing to obtain the Power Moon.
  • 23: Found with Dark Side Art 9: The hint art can be found on a low wall on the Eastern side before the highest platform on the main island. It depicts several pillars in a line with a few broken pillars at the end and a Power Moon between them. To obtain the Power Moon, Mario must travel back to the Lake Kingdom, go to the Water Plaza area where there are multiple pillars on the ground floor, with a few broken ones at the end. Mario must ground pound between these pillars to obtain the Power Moon.
  • 24: Found with Dark Side Art 10: The hint art can be found on the side of some rock vegetables near the second spark pylon. It depicts Poochy digging a hole in a dark rocky area. To obtain the Power Moon, Mario must travel back to the Ruined Kingdom and ground pound inside the small crater near the Odyssey to obtain the Power Moon.
