Apes[1], or Pogo Guys[2], are enemies Wario faces in Wario Land II. Wario's standard smash attack used once stuns the enemy. A second one defeats it. They are found usually near thin platforms since if they hit Wario, he becomes a spring. In Wario Land 3, apes are replaced by Hammer-bots.
