- The Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island box art and game cover shows Yoshi about to cross a gap with a Nep-Enut in hot pursuit.
- Nep-Enut is an anagram of "Neptune", the Roman god of the sea.
- It is possible to go inside a Nep-Enut in Yoshi's Woolly World, because of invincibility frames. Yoshi can stay inside the Nep-enut if there is a platform underneath it, but will lose health when it moves its mouth to spit out Shy Guys.
