Apprentices are blue Spookums that train and reside in Booster Pass. They are met in an area in Booster Pass which could be opened by hitting a switch in Booster Tower. They are training on an obstacle course. When Mario runs into one, he will battle him. At the end of the obstacle course, Mario can get a few items.
Apprentices are quite weak in battle, and were no match for Mario.
