Backfire is a special move performed by Stumpets in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. When an enemy performs this physical attack, it will cause a moderate amount of damage to Mario or one of his partners. The attack consists of the Stumpet launching several small fireballs at Mario and his party.
