A time variable can be added to the template to replace "as soon as possible", e.g. {{construction|in two weeks}} or {{construction|by September 28}} (or {{construction|in two weeks|section=yes}} for section-specific uses). Also, this template is for articles only, and not for your userspace. You are welcome to copy the coding and paste it onto your personal userspace as long as it is category-free.
