In fact, the course starts out in Bowser's Castle, but the change of road leads players to the upper walls of the castle. Castle Wall is more linear than Bowser's Castle, due to the long straights.
Castle Wall later appears in Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, now with several tweaks in design and renamed into Bowser's Castle. The original Bowser's Castle track would become Bowser Factory.
