In the first part, the player has to overcome some [[Snapjaw]]s that fall from vines to get to the second part, where the player encounters a [[Nep-Enut]] (the only one in the game) and several platforms where he must jump. Then, there is a part where the player has to get on a raft to avoid falling into the river while enemies attack him. If he did, a Lunge Fish would swallow him almost instantly, making Yoshi lose a life. Then, after the raft falls off a waterfall, a self-scrolling part will follow in which Yoshi has to get to the top of another waterfall.
Yoshi starts the level near some slopes and islands, along with a strong water current as well as a [[Stork Stop]]. He will have to navigate his way further by using Baby Donkey Kong to climb some vines while avoiding [[Snapjaws]]. The team must climb up some vines to reach an area with some swing-like platforms and some Cheep-Cheeps nearby. After avoiding these hazards, the player comes upon a Stork Stop and a Middle Ring. The dinosaur can then find some eggs, an Egg Plant, and an Egg-Enut near the Middle Ring. After avoiding more Egg-Enuts, Snapjaws and Needlenoses, Yoshi comes to a few vines, more enemies, and several moving platforms, with a secret coin area nearby. Soon after, the player comes upon a Nep-Enut, a few Cheep-Cheeps, and some more moving platforms. Yoshi then enters another area with a Middle Ring, a Stork Stop, and a raft. The player should get on the raft, and it will start moving automatically. He should also be careful to watch out for lots of Cheep-Cheeps. They should then enter the next area, which begins with a waterfall flowing down, with the raft also in it. A next area follows after that, where the raft stops and Yoshi lands near a Middle Ring and an autoscrolling area where the dinosaur must climb up a waterfall, while avoiding enemies. After succesfuly accomplishing that, Yoshi can go through the Goal Ring, having finished the level.
