Andrew graduated in 1982, having already appeared on a movie, Ups & Downs, by Paul Almond. By 1983 he had already been cast by Nelvana for another screenplay, as Tom Edison on The Edison Twins, an educational series. Later in life, he decided to experiment with lyrics writing, and wrote the lyrics for the musical "Napoleon", alongside with Timothy Williams, which first produced in 1994, and later in 2000 and then 2009.
 
He has been an active voice actor since 1984, appearing on many popular shows, which were mainly targeted for a younger audience.
He also participated in the writing process of "Franklin and the Turtle Lake Treasure" and "Strawberry Shortcake: Seaberry Beach Party", "Lunar Jim", "Turbo Dogs", "Bo On the Go", and "Animal Mechanicals", among others.
