Arguably one of the best console RPGs ever devised, '''Super Mario RPG''' sported a well-designed battle system and a gripping story. It introduced a number of new characters, including possible party members [[Geno]] and [[Mallow]]. Few, if any, of these new presences became part of the mainstream [[Mario]] series, unfortunately.
