Where is there true evidence that Tiny Kong's new look created controversy, despite that it was Nintendo's idea to redesign her? --PrincessDaisyFanatic3883 03:24, 3 April 2012 (EDT)

:I removed references to "controversy", seems like an example of weasel words to me. The only real controversy is that Nintendo was likely unaware of her relation to Dixie as as far as I'm aware it's only mentioned in the English DK64 manual. This is similar to Kaptain K. Rool being considered as King K. Rool's brother in Japan. Other than that, she simply received a redesign along with the other characters, it's just that hers seemed designed to make her more distinctive from Dixie. It's a little strange but "controversy" is the wrong word to use without any evidence to back it up. Personally I much prefer her new design. I wouldn't agree that her new look is "controversial", but rather nonsensical, because her name is Tiny Kong, but she's much taller now. This design makes no sense!

Has anybody actually *seen* the Japanese DK64 manual? Can we really confirm that she's not referred to as Dixie's sister in any Japanese material? Vent (talk) 15:48, 31 July 2014 (EDT)

: Is it possible to delete the "Tiny Kong may have been redesigned into her current look because she's never been explicitly referred to as Dixie's sister in Japan" (heavily paraphrasing)? Because 1. We don't really know why Tiny was redesigned outside of a Rareware Scribes saying it's part of Nintendo's "re-aligning" of the Kong Family and 2. As stated multiple times, the DKC series is American-first. PrincessPeachFan (talk) 12:30, February 20, 2023 (EST)
:: British-first at the time, actually. Could have been an execute mandate. (Don't know why they didn't just use Kiddy or Chunky for a heavy racer, but I digress.) Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 12:51, February 20, 2023 (EST)
