Red and Green Koopa Troopa have been distinctly different throughout the entire history of the ''Mario'' series, the shell governing if they would turn around or not. They even have different stats in the sports games (e.g. Mario Super Sluggers). This alone is already a big difference, and isn't a matter of Toad color. It would stay consistent with having a [[Gold Goomba]], [[Goombrat]], etc. where the differences were enough to have its own article.
