Snorlax are known to be lazy, only sleeping and eating; in some of the main ''Pokémon'' games, they are occasionally found sleeping in inconvenient locations and must be awakened to advance. They are also very hungry, eating over 900 pounds of food on average a day, and is willing to eat anything.

Snorlax appears as a [[Poké Ball]] Pokémon in every installment of the [[Super Smash Bros. (series)|''Super Smash Bros.'' series]] to date. When summoned, it leaps up into the air and attacks with [[bulbapedia:Body Slam|Body Slam]], falling down onto the battlefield at a larger size and smashing any opponents in its path, sending them flying. It can also attack opponents when flying up after being summoned.
