[[Wario]] can use them as [[platform]]s to reach remote locations; however, they fly away before long once he touches them but come back shortly afterwards. Like the game's enemies, gulls can be killed with a [[Dash Attack]] or a [[Ground Pound|ground pound]], respawning only if Wario leaves and re-enters their area.

Seagulls are skittish and fly away when approached by [[Mario]] or if [[Cappy]] is tossed towards them. If Mario falls asleep in the Seaside Kingdom, seagulls may flock near him and one may even roost on his nose.
