An Orb Hut, sometimes known as Orb Shop is a shop in the Mario Party series series where players and characters can buy Orbs to use against an opponent, or on themselves. In Mario Party 6, Koopa Troopas or Shy Guys are the shopkeepers, depending from what time it is (Koopa on day, Shy Guy on night). In Mario Party 7, Goombas run the shops, but for now, one of these three shopkeepers appear on two different boards, with special clothing, depending on what board the party is (Koopa got Hollandic women clothes in Windmillville, but they obtain Chinese clothing instead on Pagoda Peak). They were replaced by Candy Shops in Mario Party 8. Before Orb Huts were introduced in the series, players could get the orbs for free in Capsule Dispensers in Mario Party 5.

Orb huts, sometimes referred to as Orb shops, are shops in Mario Party 6 and Mario Party 7 in which players can buy Orbs to use against an opponent or on themselves or lay them down on a space to create a Character Space. Players must have at least five coins to be able to enter an Orb hut.

In Mario Party 6, Koopa Troopas or Shy Guys are the shopkeepers, depending on what time of day it is (Koopas during the day, Shy Guys at night). In Mario Party 7, one of three shopkeepers (Goombas, Koopa Troopas, and Shy Guys) appears on two different boards, with special clothing depending on what board the party is being played at. For example, Koopas wear Dutch women's clothing in Windmillville, but they wear Chinese clothing instead on Pagoda Peak.

During Bowser Time in Mario Party 7, Bowser may destroy an Orb hut and replace it with a shop of his own. The first player to pass Bowser's shop is forced to buy a Golden Bowser Statue or Koopa Kid Orb (which Koopa Kid takes from the player afterwards; if the item is a Koopa Kid Orb, he throws it onto the board). This can happen only in Grand Canal, on Pagoda Peak, and in Pyramid Park. Also in Pyramid Park, Bowser may destroy the bridges with Orb huts on them for three turns.

Orb huts were replaced by Candy Shops in Mario Party 8. Before Orb huts were introduced into the series, players could get the Orbs (then called capsules) for free from capsule machines in Mario Party 5.
