'''Kabooms''' are [[Kremling]]s that first appeared in ''[[Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest]]''. Kabooms are a variant of [[Klobber]] that disguise themselves as ordinary [[TNT Barrel]]s and pop out when a character gets close. They do not appear in ''[[Donkey Kong Land 2]]''.

[[Kracka|Kabooma]]s were originally planned to be the successors to Kabooms in ''[[Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!]]'' but were later removed, making the rope-climbing [[Klasp]]s their only successor. However, in the [[Game Boy Advance]] [[Donkey Kong Country 3 (Game Boy Advance)|version]], they appeared in a [[Pacifica]] level, [[Stormy Seas]].

Kabooms are common enemies in the later worlds of ''Donkey Kong Country 2''. They first appear in the [[Gloomy Gulch]] level, [[Ghostly Grove (Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest)|Ghostly Grove]], and are mainly found in the [[Lost World (Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest)|Lost World]] and [[K. Rool's Keep]]. Their behavior is shared with Klobbers: they both hide in their barrel, then pop out when [[Diddy Kong|Diddy]] and [[Dixie Kong|Dixie]] get close, and run after them in an attempt to hurt them. Kabooms' TNT Barrels are distinguishable from normal ones, because the "N" of TNT is flipped. This is fixed after Diddy or Dixie jumps on it. The only major difference that Kabooms have from Klobbers is that a Kaboom's barrel explodes when it crashes into the lead Kong, with the resulting TNT blast defeating both of them. A Kaboom can more safely be defeated from either having a projectile thrown at it, such as a [[barrel]] or a [[Cannonball|kannonball]], or from being jumped on and thrown like a regular TNT Barrel. When jumped on, a Kaboom re-emerges shortly after, unless the Kongs quickly grab it. Kabooms also get defeated if they run onto the spikes in [[Klobber Karnage (Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest)|Klobber Karnage]], but they do not explode.

Kabooms are one of the few entities absent from the end credits. However, in the [[Donkey Kong Country 2 (Game Boy Advance)|Game Boy Advance version]], one shares a listing with a Klobber.

They have a similar attack pattern as in ''Donkey Kong Country 2''. While they are chasing the active Kong, TNT Bombers sometimes say "C'mon" in a high-pitched voice. TNT Bombers are more easily identifiable from their outer TNT Barrel. Like many other enemies, the active Kong can defeat a TNT Bomber by throwing an orange at them, using a musical instrument, or by shooting with their [[weapon]]. The active Kong can also use a shockwave attack but at a cost of being injured from the explosion. TNT Bombers automatically self-destruct after chasing after the active Kong for five seconds, and say "Uh oh" right before exploding. The only remains of a TNT Bomber after exploding is a pile of ash with two blinking eyes on top.

TNT Bombers are first shown during Diddy's segment of the [[DK Rap]], where Diddy simultaneously defeats three of them by throwing an [[orange]] at them. During the game itself, TNT Bombers first appear in the later segment of [[Mine Cart Ride#Diddy's Mine Cart Ride|Diddy's Mine Cart Ride]], where they jump out of edges at random as an attempt to crash into him. If a TNT Bomber successfully hits into Diddy, he loses a few [[DK Coin]]s. [[Angry Aztec]] and [[Gloomy Galleon]] are the only two levels where TNT Bombers appear.
