With this form, Peach can take back an ice rink from [[Sour Bunch]] performers by captivating the audience with graceful dances and brilliant techniques. She can time her jumps and spins to the snowflakes appearing on the ice to increase her audience appeal, attack enemies, or encourage other dancers to trail behind her. Peach can also take down larger enemies by performing pair dances with them.

The specific movements for the snowflakes depend on the colors: blue (six-pointed snowflake) for spin, or chartreuse (yellow or green depending on the shading; hexagon) for jump. If a jump on a chartreuse snowflake is successful, Peach will jump much higher than what the Figure Skater transformation otherwise allows.

In addition to skating on ice, the transformation also allows Peach to skate on snow, skate uphill and downhill, and to stand still on icy hills.
