Benny is a member of the Brothers Bear who appears in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! Benny operates one of the chairlifts in Razor Ridge, alongside his twin brother Björn. Benny and Björn are named after the ABBA members and songwriters Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus respectively. Benny's dialogue during his initial meeting with the Kongs also references the ABBA song "Take a Chance on Me".

Benny has a minor role, more than the other Brothers Bear, as he does not have a problem requiring Dixie and Kiddy Kong's help to resolve, or is a key for solving a puzzle. He allows the Kongs to use his chairlift service at no cost, which the Kongs are required to use to cross over the lake and continue to the next level.

Benny assists Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong in their journey by allowing them to use his chairlift at no charge to cross over Barbos' lake in Razor Ridge, which connects the levels Buzzer Barrage and Kong-Fused Cliffs. Unlike the other bears, Benny has no real problem that the Kongs can help him with, nor does he have possession of a Banana Bird or hold the key to solving a puzzle.

*In a preview showcasing the Brothers Bear, Benny and Björn are shown talking in unison with a German accent, though this does not happen in the game.
