Spray Fish are blue fish in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. They appear in several fortresses and castles and shoot out a diagonal jet of water. It's almost like a wall and impossible to go through. Wait for them to submerge or shoot an egg at their head.
It's possible they're related to Cheep-Cheeps and the Blue Blurps from Yoshi's Story.
