The expert is an enemy that appears in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It is a red Hoppycat that can jump extremely high. The Wonder Flower it drops when it is defeated turns the characters into Hoppycats, though this form is different from the enemy Hoppycats in that it can leap incredibly high into the air, comparable to the expert's jump height. It also starts with four spikes instead of three and is larger, though if the player takes damage, they will shrink to the normal Hoppycat size.
